HISTORY
The beginnings of our group goes back to the year 2001, when the oldest among the active members enrolled into highschool, where we were introduced with this fairly young sport discipline and grew strong friendly bonds between each other.
Gimnazija Šentvid has been involved with this sport since 1991 and it has become it's tradition to win in these sort of competitions. This was an extra motivation to join the newly found acrobatic team Šentviški Fanatics. With the departure of the first generation of boys and their coach Miroslav Vratič, that started all of this, and were the first to get some major awards, it was time for a new beginning. A lot of credit has to go to coach Bojana Vrščaj (a very successful gymnast in international competitions - 5th in the World Cup in Cottbus, Germany).
With hard work and determination, the group started to take on difficult projects and after only a few months won the national championship in the competition of acrobatic dunk groups that was held by ŠKL. Our path came to a very steep climb, where a franchise was starting to develop , as one success came after another, and championship after championship was won by our group Šentviški Fanatiki. The group also started performing outside organized competitions and the crowds that gathered at our shows was amazed and had nothing but superlatives for the show we preseneted to them.
And even then, when we finished highschool and started studying at different colleges, the group continued their performances first under the name Fanatiki, and is now known as the group Dunk Kings.
We represent different areas that we study, that's why the group is very »colourful«, but we all love sports and are all very much commited to the group.
